Faber signs on with Defender Mens Volleyball

Reese Faber, a senior at Sioux Center High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender volleyball program.

“Reese has been a longtime boys volleyball player in our area. He sought out opportunities to grow his game by attending camps and joining a great club program in Kairos (Sioux Falls). We are grateful for his club coaches that have invested so much into his development. Reese will be a wonderful addition to our campus and Christian community as he seeks to live out The Defender Way,” said Dordt coach Chad Hanson.

Faber has played for Kairos Men’s Volleyball and has played outside and defensive specialist and is listed 5-11.

“I chose Dordt University because I wanted to be somewhere that allowed me to grow academically, athletically and most importantly, spiritually. The men’s volleyball program at Dordt is exactly what I am looking for in a team and in a coach. I will also be participating in the choir which also had an impact on my decision. Overall, the university is all about centering its education around the Lord which is what I value most,” said Faber.

Reese is the son of Mike and Karri Faber of Sioux Center, Iowa. He plans to study accounting.
