Van Kalsbeek Named Mr. Basketball

MOC-Floyd Valley’s Jesse Van Kalsbeek has been named Mr. Iowa Basketball 2024 by the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association.

Van Kalsbeek averaged 26 points and 10.8 rebounds per game this season in leading the Dutchmen to the Class 3A state semi-finals. He also had 31 blocks despite missing six games due to a broken hand. He ended his career with 1,376 points, 517 rebounds, 158 assists, 117 steals and 46 blocks and plans to continue his career at Northwestern next season.
