Trey Van Roekel of Northwestern College is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Van Roekel, a sophomore from Boyden, Iowa, led the way for the Raiders with a top-15 individual finish in a field of national contenders at the Northwest Iowa Invitational, posting the best round of his career and of the Raiders’ season (67; -4). He made it through the third round at -4 with no bogeys.
Lakes Area Business Leader Butch Parks Dies at 81

Longtime and well-known Iowa Great Lakes businessman Butch Parks has died at 81. Parks was the founder of Parks Marina and the iconic Barefoot Bar and Snappers.
