It looks like the Siouxland conference will be growing, starting with the 2026-27 school year. Western Christian, and current Lakes Conference members Spirit Lake, Spencer, Cherokee, Estherville-Lincoln Central, and Storm Lake have all been invited to the league after the Siouxland conference’s Board of Directors approved that invitation on December 17th .
Several of those schools have accepted the invitation, but still need to make a formal application to join the Siouxland Conference. The addition of the six schools would be for 2026-’27 school year.
The new alignment will create a conference consisting of 16 schools.
