SIOUX CENTER, Iowa — A Sioux Center athlete is being recognized for her efforts in relief on the hardwood. Sioux Center’s Margo Schuiteman has been nominated for the Jersey Mike’s Sub of the Year. this is an honor given to the top sixth man/woman in the nation for a high school basketball team. While coming off the bench for the Warriors, Schuiteman still finished the year the team’s second leading scorer, while being fourth in rebounds and assists for Sioux Center as they went on to win the program’s first state title. She is one of 12 finalists from across the nation, and is the only Iowan in the running.
