The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) released its 2024-25 basketball preseason rankings on Friday. Several Northwest Iowa teams were given a spot in the ranking.
In Class 4A, the Sioux Center Girls Basketball Team was rated third in the ranking. Bishop Heelan of Sioux City took the top spot in the preseason rankings.
In Class 3A, Estherville-Lincoln Central took the top rank, while Cherokee began the new season with a ninth-place ranking.
Central Lyon took the fifth spot in Class 2A’s preseason ranks, Rock Valley came in right behind them in sixth. West Lyon was ranked 11th, while Hinton entered in at the 13th spot in the IGHSAU’s preseason ranking.
