SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern women’s basketball forward Molly Schany has been selected as the GPAC women’s basketball player-of-the-week. Schany, a senior from Emmetsburg, Iowa, averaged a double-double in two Red Raider wins last week, helping Northwestern extend its winning streak to three games. On Wednesday, the senior scored 23 points and pulled down a career-high 19 rebounds in a crucial win at Briar Cliff. On Saturday, also on the road, Schany scored a game-high 26 points to go with seven boards and a block.
Schany has now been awarded the GPAC Player of the Week honor for the second time in her career.
