Raiders Giving Day Scheduled for April 9

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics will host the third annual Raiders Giving Day on Thursday, April 9, rallying support for its 23 sport programs and student-athlete support services.

“Raiders Giving Day is a unique opportunity for alumni and fans to give back to the athletic program that they were able to experience thanks to someone who paid if forward for them,” said Vice President for Athletics Tony Hoops. “This pivotal day raises crucial funds to help build experiences of excellence for our athletic department as we live out our mission of Honoring Christ Through Excellence in Athletics.”

As part of the event, each sport will work toward a fundraising goal, with an overall goal of raising $125,000 as an athletic department. All donations will go directly to the sport-specific program of the donor’s choosing or to general athletics if desired. Each gift will directly enhance the selected Raiders athletic program. Leading up to the event, donors can expect to hear from coaches and athletic staff outlining program needs. On Giving Day, updates from coaches and student-athletes will be shared throughout the day.

In 2025, Raiders Giving Day saw Northwestern raise over $115,000 to benefit its individual athletic programs. Ten programs reached their goal, and 488 unique donors made contributions to the effort.
