Northwestern Takes Weekly GPAC Softball Awards

The Northwestern softball team has swept this week’s GPAC weekly honors. Kameryn Etherington is the pitcher-of-the-week after throwing two complete game shutouts over the weekend. She also struck out 22 while allowing just five hits in victories over Bellevue and Waldorf. Meanwhile, Gwen Mikkelson is the player-of-the-week after going a perfect 4-4 at the plate twice over the weekend. Against Dakota State she homered twice and collected 7 total RBI in 4 games. The Red Raiders are off to the best start in school history with a 16-0 start.
