Northwestern football announces 2026 schedule

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College has finalized the football schedule for the 2026 season.

Northwestern will open its season against an NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) team in Western Illinois. It will mark the Raiders’ second FCS opponent in four seasons, as Northwestern took down Drake during the 2023 season.

GPAC play opens against 2025 conference co-champion Morningside in Sioux City. The Raiders upset the Mustangs last season, taking down the No. 4-ranked foe 14-13 at home.

A pair of home contests will follow, as Northwestern will host Mount Marty and Midland, with both games kicking off at 6:00 p.m. to showcase De Valois Stadium under the lights.

After taking a road trip to Hastings in Week 4, the Raiders will celebrate homecoming with a battle against Concordia, which kicks off at 1:30 p.m.

The final two home games will see the Raiders host Doane and Dordt at 1:00 p.m., with the Sioux County showdown against the Defenders closing the regular season.
