Northwestern climbs to #2 in NAIA volleyball rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Northwestern College volleyball team (14-1, 5-1 GPAC) slides up to No. 2 in Poll 3 of the third regular season edition of the NAIA Coaches’ Poll announced Wednesday morning.

The Red Raiders slid up one spot in the poll, the 11th-straight poll ranked inside the top-10.

Northwestern has won 13 of their 14 matches in straight sets this season

Following the first loss of the season for Eastern Oregon (15-1, 8-1 CCC), the Bulldogs of Concordia University (Neb.) slide into the No. 1 ranking in the most recent poll. The Red Raiders slid up to No. 2. Indiana Wesleyan (15-0, 7-0 CL) jumped two spots to No. 3, Eastern Oregon checks in at No. 4, and Corban (Ore.) (15-2, 9-0 CCC) slid down a spot to No. 5.

The GPAC sees five teams inside the top-25, and one team receiving votes. As mentioned, Concordia and Northwestern continue to pace the league. Midland cracks the top-10 at No. 10, followed right behind by College of Saint Mary at No. 11. With a perfect record in league play, Jamestown continues to move up the poll, now at No. 14. Dakota Wesleyan continues to receive votes.
