NAIA, Sioux City Agree to 4-Year Extension for NAIA WBB Championship

The NAIA and Sioux City have agreed to a four-year extension to keep the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center through 2029.

NAIA President Jim Carr says Sioux City continues to provide an exceptional championship experience with unmatched hospitality and community support.

The city has hosted the women’s basketball finals since 2021, and previously the Division II tournament dating back to 1998.

GPAC Commissioner Corey Westra called the renewal an honor and a testament to more than 30 years of partnership with the NAIA.

The Tyson Events Center also remains the longest-running host of the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Championship, a streak that began in 2008.

The 45th Annual NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship is set for March 19th through the 24th, 2026, in Sioux City.
