Mauldin named GPAC Mens track athlete-of-the-week

Payton Mauldin of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC Mens track athlete-of-the-week.

Mauldin, a junior, from George, Iowa, qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championships in two events at the USD Early Bird Invite held in Vermillion, South Dakota. Mauldin was the top NAIA runner and finished third overall in the 800 with an ‘A’ standard time of 1:50.19. Mauldin’s time leads the GPAC and is third best in the NAIA. Mauldin then anchored the Defenders winning 4×400 relay that hit the ‘B’ standard and has the No. 1 time in the GPAC, No. 9 in the NAIA.
