Laven Named GCAA/PING All-American

NORMAN, Okla. – Northwestern college men’s golfer Jackson Laven has been selected to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) PING All-America Third Team.

“I am so happy for Jack to be recognized by the GCAA as an All-American,” said head coach Aaron Aberson. “His hard work and dedication to his craft led to a remarkable year. He’s been very deserving of all of the postseason accolades he’s received.”

Laven led the team with a 73.1 average over 27 rounds this season. He was named the GPAC Champion after winning the event on May 14 with a three-round score of 216. It was the second of Laven’s back-to-back top finishes after winning the Raider Invitational the week before. Laven also collected seven top-10 finishes on the year, leading the team in the category.

Laven becomes Northwestern’s first GCAA/PING All-American since Neil Malenke was selected to the Third Team in 2013.
