Allison Koontz of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week. Koontz, a freshman from Glenwood, Iowa, led the Raider offense to three wins last weekend, including a win over No. 23 Saint Xavier (Ill.). On the week, Koontz hit .615 with three doubles, a triple, and a home run. She drove in five runs on the weekend and stole a base in addition to going 2-0 in the circle.
