Dordt defensive specialist Makenna Kooima is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Kooima, a senior from Rock Valley, Iowa, averaged five digs per set in Dordt’s upset of No. 11 College of Saint Mary on Saturday. She also had a 5.6 digs per set average this week as the Defenders went 2-0 and was perfect on 40 serve receptions.
