Kate Kralik GPAC softball Pitcher of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern pitcher Kate Kralik has been recognized as the GPAC softball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced this morning.

Kralik (So., Indianola, Iowa) went 4-0 last week, earning a win in each of her appearances for the Raiders, winning both of her starts and being effective in a relief role. On the week, Kralik struck out 20 batters, including 11 in a 6-1 complete game victory over Hastings. On Friday night against Doane, the sophomore threw four no-hit innings in relief for an 8-1 Raider win.

“Kate is one who can really spin the ball and when she competes can be as anyone in the country in the circle,” noted head coach Shane Bouman.

The honor marks Kralik’s second-career GPAC weekly accolade, as she also received Pitcher of the Week recognition on March 22, 2022.
