HOUSTON, Texas– The United Football League (UFL) Monday, (Jan 12) announced its selections for its 2026 UFL Quarterback Draft. The Quarterback Draft is the first phase of the UFL’s player selection process. The Quarterback Draft was conducted on Friday, January 9, with all selections being announced Monday.

West Sioux alum Hunter Dekkers will continue his professional football career with the Houston Gamblers of the United Football League after being selected by the team in the 2026 UFL Quarterback draft.

Dekkers spent this season with the New Orleans Saints practice squad after trying out for the team in May, but missed time due to a shoulder injury.

The 2026 UFL season is set to kick off on Friday, March 27.
