(Sioux City, Iowa) – The 2023 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Volleyball All-Conference Team has been selected.
Caylor Cox from Jamestown was selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Player-of-the-Year. Travers Cox from Jamestown was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Coach-of-the-Year. Jamestown won the regular season championship for 2023 with a 9-1 record. Lukas Van Gronigen of Dordt was named the Co-Setter of the year along with Derek Corea from Jamestown.
Dordt placed 5 players on the GPAC Men’s Volleyball first team, Andres Guzman OH Jr. Bogota, Columbia.Caleb Kulesza RS Sr. Chicago, Ill., Luke Nelson MB Sr. Plymouth, Minn., Rob Piekarz DS So. Warsaw, Poland, Lukas Van Groningen S So. Ripon, Calif. Two more Dordt players were selected to the second team, Brady Frost OH So. Neenah, Wisc. Dylan Kooiman MB So. Frankfort, Ill. Brady Fergen, Sophomore Menno, South Dakota Menno H.S. Was an Honorable mention All-GPAC pick.
The GPAC Men’s Volleyball Tournament Championship was played this past weekend in Jamestown, North Dakota, with Jamestown claiming the title and conference automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship.
