GPAC 2024-25 All Conference Basketball Teams Announced

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) has announced their 2024-25 basketball all-conference team selections.

The women’s all-conference team is headlined by Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC player of the year Macy Sievers. Dordt also is home to Janie Van Donge who captured the defensive player of the year honors for the conference. The first team includes both Sievers and Van Donge for the Defenders, as well as Molly Schany and Hali Anderson for the Northwestern Women.

Dordt’s Olivia Harazin received second team all-conference honors for the Defenders. Janie Schoonhoven and Willow Bleeker each got a nod as honorable mentions as did Ashtyn Wobig of the Red Raiders.

McKenna Yates of Hastings took the honor of Freshman of the Year in the GPAC and the Broncos also took home the honor of Hauff Mid America Sports/GPAC coach of the year as well.

On the men’s side of things, Northwestern’s Jesse Van Kalsbeek took home GPAC Freshman of the Year honors and Dordt’s head coach Brian Van Haaften received the Hauff Mid America Sports/GPAC coach of the year nod.

The men’s first team includes Dordt’s Lucas Lorenzen & Luke Rankin, while the Red Raiders are represented by Jalen Langsy, Alex Van Kalsbeek, and Jesse Van Kalsbeek. Bryce Coppock and Ben Fairclough each got the nod on the second team, while Zach LaFave received second team honors.

Kaleb Booth and Conner Geddes each got the nod as honorable mentions for Northwestern, while Connor Millikan and Jake Hargens also received the honor.

Concordia’s Tristan Smith received recognition on three fronts, taking home Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC player of the year honors, defensive player of year, and was also selected to the first team for the Bulldogs.
