KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwestern competitive cheer junior Hannah Feikema has been named a Third Team All-American by the NAIA. She is Northwestern’s first two-time All-American in competitive cheer history.
Feikema, a junior flyer and tumbler from Sheldon, Iowa, earns All-American honors once again after being selected to the second team last year. During her time at Northwestern, the Raiders have won GPAC titles all three years and have finished in the top 10 nationally each season. This season, Northwestern placed ninth at the NAIA Championships and held a season average of 87.06.
“Hannah continues to impress me with her ambition to learn new skills and improve on the ones she has,” head coach Taylor Decker said. “She’s a great teammate and I am so proud to coach her.”
All-Americans are determined by the national championship judges through a recorded submission, showcasing toe tuck, triple jump combination, jump combination, round off back handspring full twisting layout, and stunts.
Xavier’s Kelsea Allen was named the NAIA Competitive Cheer Athlete of the Year after leading her team to the national title.
