Dordt To Start Swim Programs

Dordt University has announced women’s and men’s swimming additions to its varsity sports offerings beginning in Fall 2024.

“We have spent much time studying additional sports offerings very closely and I am happy to announce we will be offering swimming to our athletic department. Swimming fits well within Dordt’s framework and I look forward to developing a competitive program that will also develop students’ faith, academics, and leadership. The All Seasons Center will make a great home for the program and we look forward to utilizing it fully as we build this program,” said Ross Douma, Dordt’s Director of Athletics.

Dordt joins fellow GPAC members College of Saint Mary, Jamestown, Midland, and Morningside offering swimming. Those four schools compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference

A search for a head coach will begin immediately with the teams competing for the first time during the 2024-25 school year.
