Dordt runners sweep weekly GPAC awards

Corinne Braun of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Braun, a freshman from Canton, South Dakota, was the top GPAC runner at the Blazing Tiger Classic, a meet held at Mahoney State Park near Ashland, Neb. Braun finished fourth in a loaded field with a career-best 6K time of 21:50. This was the fourth top five finish for Braun this season and she currently has the fastest time in the GPAC.

Aidan Vorster of Dordt University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Vorster, a senior from Chino Hills, California, was the top GPAC runner at the Blazing Tiger Classic, a meet held last weekend at Mahoney State Park. Vorster finished fifth in a loaded and very large field of 339 runners, running a personal-best time of 24:38. Vorster’s time is a two-second PR and is his fourth top 10 finish this season.
