Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Van Kalsbeek, a sophomore from Sheldon, Iowa, led the Raiders’ scoring effort in two wins last week, posting double-doubles in both outings. In Wednesday’s win at Waldorf, he posted 25 points, 17 boards, and seven assists. He followed it up with a 20-point, 10-rebound outing in Saturday’s win over Dakota Wesleyan. The Raiders are currently on a 10-game winning streak, led by Van Kalsbeek’s NAIA-best 28.2 points per game.
