On Wednesday morning, March 13, just before 7:00, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Highway 18, two miles east of Rock Valley, IA.
Garret Minihan, age 23, of Harrisburg, SD, was driving a 2017 GMC pickup truck southbound on Garfield Avenue. David Lammers, age 38, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Impala westbound on Highway 18. Minihan stopped at the stop sign at Highway 18, then entered the intersection to turn east and the two collided.
No injuries were reported. Each vehicle sustained approximately $3,000 in damage.
Minihan was cited for failing to yield right of way.
