Inwood, Iowa — West Lyon Community School District elementary students and teachers will have a new principal next school year.
The West Lyon School Board tells us they have named Noreen Greer as the district’s next elementary principal.
Greer is currently the student administrative manager at Clay Elementary in Altoona, Iowa, where she supports building operations, leads professional development, and monitors performance and attendance data. She collaborates with teachers, parents and students to enhance communication and teamwork. Greer previously served as a reading specialist at Clay Elementary and spent four years at Cornell Elementary in Des Moines as a first-grade teacher, mentor and Professional Learning Community leader.
The board says she holds a master’s degree in administration and principal endorsement from Northwestern College in Orange City and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Simpson College in Indianola.
Greer will officially begin leading the West Lyon Elementary School on July 1, 2025.
