US 75 Closure Planned Between Le Mars and Maurice Beginning June 17

Drivers traveling between Sioux and Plymouth counties will soon need to plan for a detour as a portion of U.S. Highway 75 is scheduled to fully close later this month for road construction work.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, U.S. 75 will be closed in both directions beginning Tuesday, June 17, between Iowa Highway 60 north of Le Mars and Iowa Highway 10 north of Maurice.

The closure is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. June 17 and continue through approximately 6 p.m. on June 30.

Officials say the closure is needed for road construction work in the area.

The official Iowa DOT detour will direct traffic:

•East on Highway 60 through Alton and Orange City
