A two-vehicle collision was reported Tuesday evening, October 28th, in Orange City.
According to the Orange City Police Department, the crash happened around 5:39 p.m. at the intersection of 18th Street Northwest and Jackson Avenue. Authorities say a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Kristen Joy Korver of Orange City was traveling north on Jackson Avenue when her vehicle struck the back of another vehicle that was stopped in traffic, waiting to turn west onto 18th Street Northwest.
The second vehicle, driven by 31-year-old Samantha Kay Hoebelheinrich of Orange City, was transported by the Orange City Ambulance to Orange City Area Health for evaluation. Both cars sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.
Korver was cited for following too closely.
The Orange City Police Department investigated the crash.
