The Orange City Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident Thursday evening at the intersection of Tallahassee Avenue and 8th Street SE in Orange City.
According to a press release from the department, officers were called to the scene at approximately 7:00 p.m. on May 7.
Authorities say a 2012 Honda Pilot driven by 19-year-old Braden Freidreich of Cedar Falls was involved in a collision after rear-ending a 2012 Chevrolet pickup driven by 19-year-old Levi Alons of Lansing, Illinois.
Driver Transported For Evaluation
Police say Freidreich was transported by Orange City EMS to Orange City Area Health System for evaluation following the crash.
No additional injuries were listed in the release.
Citation Issued
Freidreich was cited for Following Too Closely, according to police.
The Orange City Police Department says Orange City Ambulance personnel assisted at the scene.
