The Ridge Golf Course in Sioux Center has been recognized in a “Best Little Golf Towns” series by the website Golf Digest.
The series currently includes three other golf courses in the states of South Carolina, Washington, and New York.

Head Golf Professional at the Ridge Golf Course, Karrie Van Ravenswaay, explained the process of being nominated for the recognition.
The Ridge Golf Course was opened back in 2009, and Van Ravenswaay says that national awareness of the course is quite an honor.
This isn’t the first time that the Ridge Golf Course has been recognized. Van Ravenswaay explained that their PGA Junior League program has been in the top 25 nationally for the sixth straight year. The Ridge also won the 2012 Iowa Golf Association Course of the Year and was announced as the facility of the year by the Nebraska Section PGA in 2023. On an individual basis, the staff at The Ridge have also received plenty of awards.
Van Ravenswaay says they continue to make updates and improvements to the facility, including just this week.
