The City of Sioux Center has given an important highway construction update.
Access to the Sioux Center Library has changed for the next few weeks. Contractors are working on the east entrance of the library, on First Avenue, to improve the grade of the library’s parking lot. During this period, traffic can use Highway 75 from 2nd St. N, near the Fruited Plain, to reach the library. A short section of highway 75 is open to allow this temporary library access. It is a two-lane segment on the northbound side of highway 75.
Additionally, the normal Post Office west entrance will have access from Highway 75 for the next week and a half as well, using the same route as the library. However, once the work on the east library entrance is completed, the Highway 75 access option for the Post Office and Library will close, and people will be able to access again from the east.
Stay tuned for further updates.
