Suspicious vehicle report leads to several charges for juvenile

A juvenile was arrested by the Sioux County sheriff’s office following an investigation of a suspicious vehicle complaint on Saturday evening.

The Sheriff’s office found a vehicle parked at a public water works lot located a mile south of Sioux Center at 3129 420th street. Deputies discovered the juvenile that was operating the vehicle had an outstanding Sioux County arrest warrant for failure to appear, determined the juvenile’s driver’s license was suspended, possessed a fake identification card and was in possession of alcohol.

The juvenile was arrested for the warrant and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Cherokee, IA; additionally, citations were issued for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license suspended, possession of false identification card, possession of alcohol by a minor, consumption of alcohol by a minor and open container of alcohol in vehicle.
