Suicide Prevention Awareness Month Ends Today

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Senior Life Solutions meets together at the Hawarden Regional Healthcare. Together, they help seniors grapple with the many difficulties that come with old age, like depression and anxiety, the loss of loved ones, and senior suicide. Last week, Natosha Schurch and Erin Higman sat down with The Daily Grind to help spread awareness about Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, which takes place in September.

On the program, Higman laid out some important facts about suicide.

Senior Life Solutions works diligently to maintain the mental and physical well-being of its patients.

Erin Higman explained what you can do to help prevent suicide, and one of the common myths about it.

If you or a senior loved one is struggling, you can call them at 551-3444. You can also register to join their group at hawardenregionalhealthcare.com.
