**CORRECTION** Slippery Roads May Be Cause of Hiway 60 Crash Sunday Morning

Not much snow fell in northwest Iowa Saturday, but what fell made for slippery conditions on roadways through Sunday which may have been the cause of a morning accident one mile south of Sheldon.

Ryan Butler, age 33, of Glenwood, IA, was driving a 2013 Freightliner semi-tractor pulling a trailer northbound on Highway 60.  As Butler crossed a bridge, he lost control of his vehicle, entered the median and crossed the southbound lanes of Highway 60 where 21-year-old Hunter Jensen of Ashton, who was southbound, struck the rear of the trailer.   The Freightliner came to rest in the northwest ditch.

No injuries were reported in the crash, but the Freightliner received about $12,000 in damage while Jensen’s Ford received about $6,000 in damage.  Butler was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
