Six Taken to Hospital After Rollover Near Sioux Center

Six people were taken to the hospital following a rollover accident west of Sioux Center Monday afternoon.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened shortly after 4 p.m. on July 13 on 390th Street, about three miles west of Sioux Center.

Authorities say 36-year-old Maria Martin Sebastian of Sioux Center was driving a 2017 Ford Explorer eastbound when she lost control. The SUV entered the north ditch and rolled.

Martin Sebastian and five passengers were transported by the Sioux Center Ambulance to Sioux Center Health for treatment of injuries. The extent of their injuries was not released.

The Explorer sustained an estimated $13,000 in damage.

Martin Sebastian was cited for no driver’s license, a child restraint device violation, and failure to maintain control.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sioux Center Fire Department, Sioux Center Ambulance and Sioux Center Police Department.
