Siouxnami Waterpark Breaks Attendance and Concession Records

Siouxnami Waterpark in Sioux Center wrapped up its seventh summer with record-breaking attendance and concession sales.

City Manager Scott Wynja said on The Daily Grind earlier this week that All Seasons Center Director Dave Egdorf reported another big jump in attendance at the waterpark.

Siouxnami features a variety of attractions — including water slides, pools, a lazy river with waves, a climbing wall, and an aquatic zipline — making it a popular destination for both residents and tourists. This summer saw 36,851 general admissions, about 2,750 more than in 2024, plus 24,375 member check-ins. The busiest day drew over 1,500 visitors.

Wynja says that making a day trip to Sioux Center to visit Siouxnami is much more cost-friendly than other options.

The waterpark also saw an increase in concession sales, setting a new record of $131,687 in sales, with slushies topping the list at more than 5,000 sold, followed by bottled drinks and fountain drinks.

Mayor Dale Vander Berg thanked Egdorf and the waterpark staff for their hard work and for serving as ambassadors for Sioux Center.

Looking ahead, Egdorf says the park is already preparing for next summer with maintenance and upgrades, including fresh paint for the big pool.
