The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of two longtime members of the department.
Brad De Kam has been appointed to the rank of lieutenant, while Jose Mora has been promoted to sergeant. Both officially assumed their new responsibilities on July 1.
De Kam Appointed Lieutenant
De Kam began his career with the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office as a jailer in 2008. He was selected to serve as a deputy sheriff the following year and was promoted to sergeant in 2023.
With his latest promotion, De Kam will now serve at the rank of lieutenant.
Mora Promoted to Sergeant
Mora has served with the sheriff’s office for more than two decades. He began his career as a jailer in 2005 before being selected as a deputy sheriff in 2007.
The sheriff’s office says both men have demonstrated professionalism, dedication and a strong commitment to serving the citizens of Sioux County throughout their careers.
The department congratulated De Kam and Mora on their promotions and said their leadership and experience will continue to benefit the sheriff’s office and the communities it serves.
