The Sioux County Sheriff’s office is asking for information in an accident that happened Wednesday morning near Boyden. The Sheriff’s office says it invetigated a commercial vehicle accident shortly after 9am Wednesday that occurred on Highway 18, one mile West of Boyden.
25 year old Meghan Den Hartog of Hull, was driving a eastbound on Highway 18 when she met a westbound pickup truck pulling a trailer. As the two met, a white plastic barrel fell from the trailer and struck Den Hartog’s vehicle.
The westbound vehicle pulling the trailer did not stop at the scene.
Anyone with information on the pickup and trailer is asked to contact the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
