Sioux County residents now have a new way to stay informed and connected thanks to a dedicated Facebook page launched by Sioux County Emergency Management. The page, introduced earlier this week, is designed to serve as a central hub for public safety updates, emergency alerts, and preparedness resources.
The department says the move is part of a broader effort to improve transparency and accessibility in how it communicates with the public. From severe weather warnings to community safety tips, the page will offer real-time information aimed at keeping residents safe and informed.
Sioux County Emergency Management Coordinator, Ryan De Kruyf, said, “We’re excited to create a space where people can easily access important updates and engage with us directly. This platform will help us serve Sioux County more effectively, especially during critical events.”
Community members are encouraged to follow the page and turn on notifications to stay ahead of emergencies and local developments.
Coordinator De Kruyf will be our guest next week on The Daily Grind. Tune in on Friday the 15th to learn more about Ryan, his new role, and his experiences and perspective with the recent storms in the county. The Daily Grind airs weekdays at approximately 9 a.m. on 93.9 KSOU FM. If you miss an episode or want to hear a replay, all episodes are archived on our website on the Daily Grind page.
