Sioux County 4-H to Celebrate National 4-H Week in October

Sioux County youth will join the nationwide celebration of National 4-H Week, October 5–11, highlighting how 4-H helps prepare young people to be leaders in their communities and beyond.

4-H is America’s largest youth development program, reaching six million youth through clubs, camps, and hands-on learning. In Sioux County, members take part in public speaking, STEM challenges, livestock projects, financial literacy, and community service efforts.

“4-H gives youth a place to belong and the tools to grow into confident, capable leaders,” said Jade Bakker, Sioux County Youth Coordinator.

Nationally, 4-H’s Beyond Ready initiative aims to prepare 10 million young people for work and life by 2030.
