A Sioux Center woman was taken to Sioux Center Health after a collision between an SUV and a truck Friday morning, October 9.
The Sioux Center Police Department says the crash happened at 8:52 a.m. at the intersection of 3rd Avenue Southeast, 20th Street Southeast, and Ridge Road.
According to the report, 72-year-old Ruth Kocisko of Sioux Center was driving a 2021 Subaru Forester and had stopped facing south on 3rd Avenue Southeast. A 2021 Peterbilt truck, driven by 59-year-old Douglas Woelber of George, was traveling westbound on 20th Street Southeast.
Police say Kocisko pulled in front of the truck. Woelber tried to swerve but couldn’t avoid the collision.
