A Sioux Center teen was cited following a rollover accident north of Maurice on Monday morning.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 9:54 a.m. on December 15, 2025, deputies were called to a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 75, just north of the Highway 10 intersection, approximately two miles north of Maurice.
Authorities say a 16-year-old boy from Sioux Center was driving a 2006 Ford F-150 northbound when he lost control of the pickup, entered the east ditch, and rolled.
The 16-year-old was checked at the scene by the Sioux Center Ambulance for possible injuries.
The pickup sustained an estimated $8,000 in damage. The driver was cited for failure to maintain control.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Sioux Center Police Department, Sioux Center Ambulance, and Maurice First Responders.
