A Sioux Center man is facing dozens of charges after an investigation into child sexual abuse material uploaded from a rural residence.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 19-year-old Gavyn Dibbet on Monday around 6 p.m. The arrest followed a report that child sexual abuse material had been uploaded from a location near Sioux Center.
Deputies conducted a further investigation and determined that Dibbet had received, possessed, and distributed multiple files of child sexual abuse material.
Dibbet was taken to the Sioux County Jail and charged with 38 counts of Possession of a Depiction of a Minor in a Sex Act, 16 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Promoting Film, and two counts of 1st Degree Harassment.
The Sioux Center Police Department assisted with the investigation.
