Sioux Center community leaders met with U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley in Washington this week to discuss infrastructure development, agriculture, healthcare, and education in northwest Iowa.
The meeting was part of the group’s annual trip to Washington. Among those attending were Sioux Center City Manager Scott Wynja, Mayor Dale Vander Berg, Chamber Director Barb Den Herder, and Sioux Center Community School District Superintendent Gary McEldowney.
“I’m always glad to meet with Sioux Center leaders making their trip out to Washington,” Grassley said. “By meeting face-to-face with Iowans, I can better understand what issues matter most to my constituents. I look forward to bringing the insights from this meeting with me to the policymaking tables.”
Grassley made a stop on his 99-county tour in Sioux Center in late June at Sioux Center Health.
