A Sioux Center Health support group continues to bring encouragement, shared understanding, and practical education to people living with Parkinson’s disease — as well as their caregivers and loved ones.
The Parkinson’s Support Group meets monthly at Crown Pointe in Sioux Center and is open to anyone impacted by the disease. Brittney Blomendaal, Occupational Therapist at Sioux Center Health, says the group is always open to new faces.
Group member David Netz says the support he receives each month strengthens his resolve.
Netz encourages others to stay proactive in managing their symptoms.
The group meets on the second Thursday of every month from 10–11 a.m. at Crown Pointe’s gathering room on Main Street. No registration is required.
For more information about the support group, contact the Sioux Center Health Therapy Center or visit SiouxCenterHealth.org — and be sure to catch Healthcare Happenings Wednesday mornings during the 10:00 hour of the Midday Show with Cami Jo.
