Sioux Center Health has been recognized as a 2026 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.
The national recognition is based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, which evaluates rural hospitals across the country on operations, quality, patient perspective, and financial performance. Sioux Center Health is the only hospital in the region to receive the honor.
“We are incredibly honored to be recognized as a 2026 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health,” said Cory Nelson, CEO of Sioux Center Health. “This distinction reflects the unwavering commitment of our team who deliver high-quality, compassionate care close to home.”
The Chartis Center says this year’s Top 100 hospitals have demonstrated resilience, dedication, and innovation in delivering care amid the growing complexity of rural healthcare.
Now in its 16th year, the INDEX uses publicly available data and is considered one of the most comprehensive and objective assessments of rural hospital performance nationwide.
