Sioux Center Christian Celebrates New Blazer Center with Ribbon Cutting

Sioux Center Christian School officially opened its new campus addition, the Blazer Center, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Friday morning. The event marked the culmination of the school’s “Ignite the Vision” campaign, a project to accommodate rising enrollment and expand the campus’s capabilities.

A large crowd of students, families, faculty, and community supporters gathered for the event. The Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce hosted the official ribbon cutting. Attendees toured the new 30,000-square-foot facility, which includes a multi-purpose gym for chapel, performing arts, and athletics.

The expansion also features six new seventh- and eighth-grade classrooms, as well as an updated lobby and renovated library space. School officials noted that the $13.7 million project was made possible by the generosity of the community.

Following the open house, the school community will participate in a dedication chapel on Wednesday (August 27). The first day of classes for the 2025–2026 school year will be today (Monday, August 25), when students will begin using the new spaces.
