Seasons Center is offering a free virtual training designed to help parents and other caregivers manage stress, reduce burnout, and strengthen their overall well-being.
The 90-minute session will be held Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. via Zoom. It is open to biological, foster and adoptive parents, along with kinship and fictive kin caregivers.
The training will examine caregiver stress, burnout, compassion fatigue and isolation. Participants will learn practical strategies for managing stress, developing supportive relationships, practicing self-compassion and creating sustainable self-care habits.
Organizers say the session will also emphasize the connection between caregiver well-being and positive outcomes for children and families.
“When caregivers are supported, children thrive,” said Sarah Wurm, Seasons Center vice president of program development and specialized services. “This training reminds caregivers that taking care of themselves isn’t selfish; it’s one of the most important things they can do for the children who depend on them.”
Participants will develop a personalized plan to support their well-being and receive strategies they can begin using immediately.
There is no cost to participate, but advance registration is required. Registration is available at
