The execution of a search warrant in Hawarden resulted in the arrest of two people Wednesday afternoon.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant at an address on Avenue E in Hawarden after a report was given that 41-year-old Kyle Fassett allegedly threatened an individual with a firearm the night before. The search led to the discovery of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the residence.
Deputies took Klye Fasset and 32-year-old Jessica Fassett to the Sioux County Jail where Jessica was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kyle was charged with third offense possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Tri-County CERT Team and Hawarden Police Department assisted in the execution of the search warrant. The sheriff’s office was also assisted by the Sioux Center Police Department, who located and detained Fassett at his place of employment until deputies could take him into custody.
