The report of a drug overdose Saturday morning led to the arrest of a Hawarden man.
The arrest of 22-year-old Chase Ranschau came after a search warrant was executed at a residence in Hawarden following Ranschau’s report of an apparent opioid drug overdose at the residence. Hawarden Police Officers administered nasal naloxone to the person overdosing; the subject recovered and refused further medical attention.
Deputies discovered fentanyl, methamphetamine, cannabidiol and possession drug paraphernalia at the residence.
Ranschau was taken to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cannabidiol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
